A prospective bride was left horrified when the wedding venue closed down just one week before she was set to tie the knot. Haley Peel was left “in hysterics” when she was phoned to be told reception destination Petit Delight in Cleethorpes wasn’t going to be available.
She had 130 guests booked in - and although she got a full refund straight away - Haley, 36, was left with a big problem to solve. The Seaview Street restaurant announced on social media on Tuesday, June 6 that it would be closing “with immediate effect”, citing the “current economic climate” and “circumstances beyond our control”.
In a post on Facebook the venue said: “Due to circumstances beyond our control we are having to cease trading. This is something we have been battling for a long time and as we are sure you are all aware, we are living in a very challenging world.
