Well, for one woman, this happened, and now she wants a divorce from her husband after a stunt he pulled with their wedding cake.
In Slate Magazine‘s advice column, “Dear Prudence”, the bride - who is going by the pseudonym Give Him Till February - explained her reasoning for why she wants to move forward with the divorce.
She said that she got married just before Christmas and “is hoping to be divorced or annulled by the end of January.”

“I never cared about getting married, but I wasn’t opposed to it. So when my boyfriend proposed in 2020, we decided to go for it. We each took on about half the responsibility for organizing the wedding, but I think I was pretty reasonable about compromise when he really wanted something,” she wrote.
But her only request she had for the wedding was not to have cake rubbed in her face, which he didn’t.
However, it didn’t stop him from taking things to the next level.
“He grabbed me by the back of the head and shoved my head down into it. It was planned since the cake was DESTROYED, and he had a bunch of cupcakes as backup.”
She left, and the very next day, she told him that they were over.
During the holidays, she said that friends and family to her that she should “give him a second chance” and that she is “overreacting” due to her issues.
“I am VERY claustrophobic after a car accident years ago, and I absolutely panicked at being shoved into a cake and held there,” she said.
She further added that she loves him despite not feeling that emotion at the moment and knows that he loves her too, which “means not giving up at the first hurdle.”
“I don’t want to, but everyone is so united and confident in their assurance I am making a terrible mistake that I wonder if they are right,” she concluded,
Jenée Desmond-Harris, the outlet’s “Dear Prudence,” gave the woman valuable advice about doing what is best for her at the end of the day.
“Everyone’s sure you’re making a mistake, but they’re not the ones who have to wake up every day with a man whose behavior massively turns them off. You are. So you only have to listen to yourself,” Desmond-Harris wrote.
She further wrote that she believes what he did was “a red flag” and wasn’t respectful of her wishes.
“Make a mental note about which of your loved ones don’t seem to value your happiness, and continue with your divorce,” she continued.
