Nottingham Forest goalkeeper Brice Samba is putting work in ahead of the club’s return to the Premier League in the upcoming season, despite the uncertainty over his future.
The 28-year-old has just one year remaining on his contract at the City Ground with reports that he has turned down the offer of a new deal from the club . It is also reported that the Forest man has told the club that he is keen to move on this summer.
Samba was the hero in the play-off semi-final against Sheffield United as Forest booked their place at Wembley Stadium in a penalty shootout. But it now seems that he won’t be between the sticks for the opening game against Newcastle United.

The Reds are closing in on a loan deal for Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson. The goalkeeper looks set to arrive at the City Ground imminently as Steve Cooper builds his squad for the Premier League.
Cooper will be working with his Forest squad over the next few weeks as they return for pre-season training. Ahead of that, Samba has been putting in the work during the off-season.
The goalkeeper was spotted working with former Forest midfielder Guy Moussi on Tuesday, with the fan favourite posting a message reading ‘I get him ready’. Samba has now taken to social media himself to give a further update on his work.
Taking to Instagram, the Forest man wrote: “No time to waste #backatit” alongside pictures of him doing work outside in his Forest gear. That post prompted a response from Forest fans; “Respect your professionalism Brice,” one wrote, while a second replied with: “Keep up the good work. Hopefully you’ll still be in a forest kit for many years to come.”
