Brian Kinsella: Renewed appeals for information about missing man after RTE Crimecall

There have been renewed appeals about the whereabouts of missing Waterford man Brian Kinsella after Monday's episode of RTÉ Crimecall focused on him.

Brian, who lives and works in Waterford city, left his home just after 9am that morning.

He told his family that he was going to a mobile phone shop and was due in work at 12 noon. Later that day, Brian’s family discovered that he had not arrived at work.

When they could not contact him on his mobile phone, they reported him missing to the Gardaí in Waterford.

CCTV from St Dominic’s Credit Union in Summerhill shows Brian walking by on the 17th November, at 9.40am.

Half an hour later, CCTV from Geraghty’s Tyres in Bilberry records him heading in the direction of the Greenway.

This is the last sighting of Brian on CCTV. Gardaí investigations have ascertained that he did not enter any phone shop in the area of Waterford City on that day.

Since Brian’s disappearance, local Gardaí have carried out vast searches in the region including Bilberry, Waterford, the River Suir and Waterford Greenway.

Multiple agencies have been involved, including the Garda Helicopter, Garda Water Unit, the Coast Guard, Rescue 117, Marine Search & Rescue, River Rescue, Civil Defence, Mallow Search & Rescue, as well as local Volunteers, family and friends. However, to date, there has been no sighting of Brian.

Brian is described as being 5’10’’, of slim build, with brown eyes, short brown hair and some facial hair. When last seen, he was wearing a light blue rain jacket, black Adidas tracksuit bottoms with white stripes, black runners with white soles, a black baseball cap and prescription glasses.

Brian’s mother, Nuala said: Our hearts are broken, he's missed so much. Please come home.”

The Kinsella family is appealing directly to anyone with any information on the whereabouts of her brother to contact Waterford Garda station directly.
