American youth international Brian Guttierez is reportedly being eyed Rangers and Manchester United - but work permit could complicate a move to the UK.
The Ibrox side are in full rebuild mode under Michael Beale with Kieran Dowell and Dujon Sterling already in the door and Jack Butland set to follow any time now. Cyriel Dessers is another target with attentions now turning to more attack-minder players after the departures of Ryan Kent and Alfredo Morelos.
One player who could provide some competition in the forward line is USA U20 international Gutierrez with the Daily Mail saying Rangers are "sniffing around" the Chicago Fire prospect. Though just 19, he has racked up 71 MLS appearances already with an impressive 11 assists to his name in that time. It's claimed United are also taking an interest while Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig and Girona are named as other potential destinations.
Stricter work permit rules in the UK though are said to be a major stumbling block with teams in continental Europe likely to have an easier time getting him registered. Gutierrez is a key player for Fire though and with a deal running until 2026, they will be determined not to let him go on the cheap.
