Brian Brobbey names Arsenal and Tottenham as dream transfer destinations

Ajax forward Brian Brobbey has named both Arsenal and Tottenham among his dream destinations.

The 22-year-old scored 22 goals in 43 appearances across all competitions during what was a difficult season for the Amsterdam giants, who finished fifth after briefly flirting with an unthinkable relegation from the Eredivisie.

Brobbey has been linked with moves away from the Dutch capital before. A product of the club’s academy, he spent a season with RB Leipzig between 2021 and 2022 before returning to the Johan Cruyff Arena.

The Gunners were recently linked with a move for the Netherlands international as a potential alternative to Alexander Isak.

Isak is believed to have admirers at Arsenal but the Magpies are adamant he won’t be sold, while the player himself has spoken of his desire to stay at St James’ Park.

RB Leipzig forward Benjamin Sesko is another target for the club but Chelsea are ready to rival any interest from the Emirates Stadium.

Spurs, meanwhile, could be set for a big rebuild this summer as Ange Postecoglou looks to further stamp his authority on the make-up of their squad.

Postecoglou believes he has the club’s full support to undertake a wide-scale rebuild, last month saying: “We need change. Change has to happen.

"You can’t want to alter your course and expect the same people are going to be on that. It’s just not going to happen.

"We’ve had two windows and we’ve had some development of players, for sure, but when I say we’ve still got a long way to go, that’s what I’m talking about.

"It’s impossible to say you’re going to have drastic change and yet expect everyone to be on that journey.”

They are expected to listen to offers for Richarlison this summer, which could open up space for a new forward, albeit Timo Werner has re-joined on from RB Leipzig.

When asked by HELDEN Magazine of his dream destinations, Brobbey replied: “Real Madrid, Manchester United, Arsenal, Tottenham, those are nice clubs.

“But, if I stay at Ajax, that is certainly not a punishment.”
