BrewDog opens its biggest bar yet

This December, BrewDog is set to open its biggest bar yet, in Las Vegas.

What it claims to be the first ever carbon negative bar in Sin City, is located atop the Showcase Mall on the Paradise Strip, opposite the MGM Park Casino.

The bar features a central 4,000 sq ft LED cube, with a 30-foot illuminated sign, atop the fourth-floor rooftop, which also features an 'urban forest'.

The 30,000 sq ft location eclipses its current largest - and recently opened - bar in Waterloo, London.

The taproom is connected to a 10-barrel brewhouse, creating exclusive small-batch brews. It will also hold 96 taps, with plans to feature beer from local guest breweries such as Able Baker and Love Lady Brewing.

BrewDog Las Vegas will open on 2 December, with attendees in with a chance of winning a $1m bar tab, which can be redeemed in any BrewDog bar around the world over the next 20 years.

Chief executive James Watt said: “Nothing tops Vegas, but our rooftop brewpub and urban oasis is our most epic BrewDog location yet.

“All points lead to the Strip, and whether you live in the city or are visiting, BrewDog Las Vegas delivers incredible food, legendary beers and maybe even a special tap release dedicated to one of the city’s favourite sons.”

Since 2007, the Ellon-based business has expanded from just making beer, to running bars. The brand now has outposts from Tokyo to Ohio, Berlin and Brisbane.
