Brentford manager Thomas Frank has provided an early update on the Bees squad's current fitness ahead of Leeds United's trip to west London on Saturday with midfielder Christian Norgaard and former Whites defender Pontus Jansson missing their trip to Crystal Palace on Tuesday evening.
Having made 120 appearances for Leeds across three seasons at Elland Road prior to his move to Brentford, Jansson could face his former side on Saturday despite missing his side's 1-1 draws against Everton and Crystal Palace respectively whilst there's more uncertainty surrounding Norgaard with the Dane unavailable for Tuesday's draw with the Eagles.
Speaking to Brentford's official website, Frank said: "I think there will be more of an update on him [Christian Norgaard] Thursday, Friday when we know exactly where he is. Pontus [Jansson] is looking more positive. Christian we don't know yet but Pontus [is] looking more positive for Saturday."
The Bees have made a decent start to the season, losing just once with six points from their opening five matches. With three draws and a famous 4-0 thumping of Manchester United at home, the Dane's side have proven to be a tough nut to crack once again and will undoubtedly provide Jesse Marsch's team with a tricky test.
As for Leeds, they'll be looking to return to winning ways having followed up winning three of their opening four matches with a 1-0 defeat at Brighton and a 1-1 draw at home to Everton.
