Leeds United playmaker Brenden Aaronson says he's had a 'whirlwind' start to life at Elland Road and admits he had doubts over whether he'd be able to cut it in the Premier League. The 21-year-old has made an impressive start to life in the top flight of English football, quickly squashing these doubts.
A solid outing against Chelsea in just his second outing at Elland Road saw him open the scoring as Jesse Marsch's side ran riot against Thomas Tuchel's once Champions League winners. The United States international took advantage of Edouard Mendy's lapse in concentration to rob the Blues' goalkeeper and tap the ball into an empty net.
The 21-year-old's high pressing and willing runs have seen him quickly build up a rapport with the Leeds fanbase with a new song made in his honour after just six games.

“Honestly, a whirlwind," Aaronson told mlsoccer. "Going in for preseason, you don't really know what to expect, you know?”
“You're taking the next step and you're kind of going in like, 'Oh, am I at this level?’ sometimes. And then it's ups and downs.
“But I think I had a good preseason and then it kind of just pushed into the normal season, and I think I was just able to just kind of click with the team, click with the coach, click with the players. It felt like just a seamless fit for me and then it comes along [with] the fans.
"Just off the bat, I'm really grateful for all the support that they've given me.”
