Brendan Rodgers has reportedly told Celtic chiefs that turning the Scottish champions into a Champions League force would be at the top of his agenda if he was named boss.
The Northern Irishman is the favourite with the bookies currently with the Hoops on the hunt to replace Ange Postecoglou.
The Aussie departed Parkhead for Tottenham last week and since then Rodgers has been in and around the favourites as a replacement.
Celtic majority shareholder, Dermot Desmond jetted into Glasgow yesterday with face-to-face talks planned over the vacant position.
Discussions have already taken place though and according to the Daily Mail, Rodgers has told the club that the Champions League would be his priority.
He has asked for major investment into his squad this summer, hoping the Hoops can go deep into Europe's elite competition.
Reports have also suggested that Rodgers could bring Scott Brown back to the club as his assistant, with his longterm No2 Chris Davies the current favourite to become Swansea boss.
The ex-Scotland midfielder spent 14 years as a player at the club before departing in 2021.
He played for just over six months at Aberdeen before retiring and taking up the manager hotseat at League One side Fleetwood Town.
At the moment, it's stated that there's been no contact of any for between Celtic and Brown, and nor has there been any discussions between Rodgers and Brown.
It's said Brown is happy learning the ropes at Fleetwood, as he gets set for his second season as his own man this summer.
A lot will depend on whether John Kennedy decides to stay put in the role he's held for several years now, or whether he will move to Spurs with Ange Postecoglou.
