Brendan Rodgers names Celtic starting XI for Gamba Osaka friendly

Brendan Rodgers has named his Celtic team to take on Gamba Osaka today.

The Hoops are ramping up their pre-season preparations with the second game of their Japan tour.

They went down 6-4 in a stunning ten-goal thriller against Yokohama F.Marinos earlier this week.

Daizen Maeda played as a central striker in that game and bagged a hat trick.

While at the other end, Joe Hart's performance was called into question with some poor mistakes.

It's a strong-looking line-up for the Scottish champions' second match of the tour, with Rodgers looking to gel his players together further ahead of the new domestic season.

CELTIC XI: Hart, Taylor, Starfelt, Abada, Turnbull, Iwata, Maeda, Hatate, McGregor, Forrest, Welsh

Subs: Bain, Siegrist, Scales, Kyogo, Haksabanovic, Holm, Oh, Bernabei, O'Riley, Lawal, Vata, Kelly, Summers, McPherson

CELTIC SECOND HALF XI: Siegrist, Scales, Kyogo, Haksabanovic, Holm, Oh, Bernabei, O'Riley, Lawal, Vata, McPherson
