Brenda Song reveals 'pettiest' reason she and Macaulay Culkin fight at bedtime

Brenda Song and Macaulay Culkin get 'competitive' over Mario Kart

Brenda Song and Macaulay Culkin's "pettiest" fights are always over Mario Kart.

The 38-year-old actress revealed she and the Home Alone star, 45, are both "very, very competitive" when it comes to the classic Nintendo racing game, and they get "mildly mad" about how things go down.

During the new episode of Cosmo Goes Deep, Brenda's Running Point co-star Kate Hudson asked: "What’s the pettiest thing you and your partner fight over?”

Brenda admitted: "One thing that we can argue about is we do play Mario Kart sometimes, like, in bed.

"And then we get very, very competitive and we will like get like mildly mad at each other, for like cutting me off or like winning, beating me last minute.

"That’s probably the pettiest thing."

Brenda and Macaulay met through mutual friend Seth Green and started dating in 2017, before getting engaged in 2022.

The couple now have songs Dakota, five, and Carson, three, together, and their bond has only got stronger over the years.

Suite Life of Zack and Cody actress Brenda told Access Hollywood: "I think that’s what was so beautiful. I always say he’s like my unicorn. I wasn’t going to settle for anything, but he is exactly what I was hoping to look for...

"He understands my work, we can talk about football, we talk about basketball, we can cook together. I think I just really lucked out."

When it comes to their children, Brenda takes every opportunity to improve Dakota and Carson's safety skills.

The Operation Taco Gary’s cast member explained: "I said, ‘They're a stranger if you don't know their name.'

"I was like, 'It doesn't matter if they're someone's parents. If you don't know their name, or you've never seen them before at our house, they are a stranger.'

"Everywhere we go, I’m like, 'How do we get home?' Every building we go in, like, 'How did we get here? How do we get out?'

"I was teaching them exit signs.”

And Macaulay has shared how he feels about his partner stressing the importance of safety to their children.

Brenda said: "My partner thinks I'm absolutely crazy about it."
