A brave mum has been hailed as a hero after a video of her running to rescue her pet goose went viral.
Mother-of-three Cait Oakley was captured on a security camera outside of her home as she ran to rescue Frankie the goose from a bald eagle that was attacking him.
The daring rescue occurred outside of Cait's home in North Sannich, Canada. The dramatic showdown with the eagle saw Cait trying to fend off the pedatory creature while still keeping hold of her then four-month-old baby.
The eagle can be seen grabbing the poor goose by the neck and dragging it to the ground as Cait can be heard shouting in the background.
Then Cait, dressed in only her partner's boxer shorts, makes a dash towards the eagle, shooing it away from Frankie, as reported by The Mirror.
"Drop it, let go! Give me my goose back!" she tells the eagle.
She later shared the clip on social media platform TikTok and explained: "We have lost three chickens in the last week. From what I was told [it was] was eagles. I believed hawks were preying on them but watch Frankie (our female goose) get taken.
"Mama bear mid breast feeding protecting her sweet Frankie."
Cait was praised a "hero mum" for multi-tasking and keeping her pet safe and viewers couldn't resist to share their comical take on her action.
"The mum is on another level, I speak for everyone: You go mama," one said and a second wrote: "Your kids was probably thinking 'meals on the wheels?'"
"This was 100% the most bada**, amazing, award-deserving feature I have ever seen, bravo ma'am!" another added.
