An intense moment unfolded during the recent basketball game between Team USA and France, as Breanna Stewart made a remarkable play to block Marine Fauthoux's long-range shot, preventing France from tying the game. Despite protests from French fans claiming a foul, replays showed that Stewart cleanly blocked the shot without making contact with Fauthoux's hands.
Following Stewart's impressive block, Fauthoux expressed her frustration by smacking the basket in anger. Team USA quickly capitalized on the turnover, but A'ja Wilson missed the first of two free throws. However, she managed to sink the second free throw, extending Team USA's lead to 63-59 with only 17.4 seconds remaining in the game.
