Woman rushed to hospital after car smashes into wall in Manchester

A woman has been taken to hospital after a car smashed into a wall in south Manchester.

Emergency services were called to the scene in Dickenson Road, Rusholme, at about 7.50pm today (Saturday). The crash involved one car, which landed on its roof after crashing into the wall.

A woman, who is understood to have been a passenger in the vehicle, was taken to hospital. The extent of her injuries are unclear at this stage.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) said: “At approximately 7.50pm on Saturday, 1st July, firefighters were called to reports of a road traffic collision on Dickenson Road, in Manchester.

“Two fire engines from Gorton station quickly attended the scene. The collision involved one car which had gone into a wall and landed on its roof.

“A woman was conveyed to hospital by colleagues from NWAS. Firefighters worked to make the scene safe and were in attendance for around 30 minutes."

Greater Manchester Police has been approached for further information.
