A woman has been found dead at Salford Quays. Police were scrambled to the scene on Tuesday morning (December 20).
Greater Manchester Police have since confirmed that the body of a woman, aged in her 20s, was found. They were called at around 8.20am to a concern for the welfare of a woman. There are not thought to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the incident.
Police vehicles were pictured stationed outside the Salford Watersports Centre, with a stretch of the walkway also cordoned off on Tuesday.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: "At around 8:20am this morning (Tuesday 20 December 2022), officers were called to a concern for welfare of a woman in Salford Quays.
"Emergency services attended the scene and sadly, a body of a woman in her 20s was found. There are believed to be no suspicious circumstances."
