The United States Golf Association (USGA) have confirmed that rebel players who have committed to playing in this week's LIV Golf Invitational Series event at the Centurion Club will be allowed to compete at next week's US Open. There were question marks surrounding whether those who have made the move to the breakaway circuit would be allowed to compete at The Country Club next week.
However, the event officials have now confirmed that all those who had already secured their entry for the third major of the year will be able to take part, despite their controversial link up with the Greg Norman-led series.
The two biggest names included on the LIV Series roster who will be heading to Massachusetts next week are 2016 US Open champion Dustin Johnson and six-time major winner Phil Mickelson.
