UEFA have confirmed that the Europa League clash between Arsenal and PSV at the Emirates Stadium will now take place on Thursday October 20th at 18:00. The game was initially due to be played on Thursday September 15th, but had to be postponed due to a lack of police resources available in the aftermath of the passing of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II.
The new date means that Arsenal's Premier League clash with Manchester City at the Emirates Stadium will now also be moved. That game was due to take place on Wednesday October 19th, but will now be rescheduled to a date that is yet to be confirmed.
There had been concerns that the Gunners may even have to forfeit the game due to the lack of available dates as a result of the congested pre-World Cup fixture list. However, UEFA confirmed in a statement that a new date had now been arranged.
