Two men arrested on suspicion of murder after fatal nightclub stabbing

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of the murder of footballer Cody Fisher who was stabbed to death at a Birmingham nightclub on Boxing Day.

Police said they are “really pleased” with the public’s response to their investigation into the death of the 23-year-old, who was stabbed at Crane in Digbethwhile out with friends.

West Midlands Police launched a murder investigation following the horror incident and on Tuesday evening named the young man who died as Birmingham footballer Cody.
