Steven Gerrard is no longer manager of Aston Villa.
The 42-year old was relieved of his duties after Thursday's 3-0 defeat away to Fulham.
Having accrued just nine points in eleven games, Gerrard leaves with the club sitting in 17th position in the league table, with only goal difference keeping them outside the relegation zone.

Shortly after the defeat, Aston Villa announced that Gerrard had left the club. In a 19-word-statement the club said, “We would like to thank Steven for his hard work and commitment and wish him well for the future.”
Gerrard took over at Villa Park just under a year ago after Dean Smith was dismissed following five consecutive defeats.
The Liverpool icon jumped ship from Rangers midseason to takeover the club from Birmingham. Having won a league title with Rangers and stopped Celtic's drive for a tenth title in a row, the Premier League legend arrived at Villa Park with a reputation as one of the brightest up and coming coaches in the game.
While things started brightly for Gerrard, Villa's form disintegrated at the back end of last season with the club ending up finishing in 14th place. The Villains spent big money on Diego Carlos Leander Dendoncker and Philippe Coutinho in the summer which increased the expectation levels around Villa Park.
But Gerrard's men have started this season terribly. Two wins in ten games had Gerrard on the brink, and despite a spirited display against Chelsea at the weekend, the writing was on the wall after Thursday's defeat to Fulham.
Gerrard leaves the club having managed 37 games in the Premier League. In that time, he oversaw 12 victories, eight draws and 17 defeats.
