A section of road in Blantyre was closed off this morning following the death of a man in the town.
Main Street was shut from the B758 Douglas Street to the A725 Expressway at around 4.55am after police received a report of concern for a person..
Police Scotland spokesperson told Lanarkshire Live: "Officers received a report of an unconscious person near Main Street, Blantyre around 4.55am on Tuesday, June 14, 2022.
"A 43-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. There do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
The road has now been re-opened.
