A number of Metrolink services have been suspended this afternoon which will have an impact on those heading to Heaton Park for Parklife 2023.
Metrolink tweeted on Sunday afternoon (June 11) just before 3.30pm that services on the Bury and Ashton services have been suspended. The Rochdale line is also suspended between the city centre and Newton Heath.
The tweet said the suspension was due to disruption. Metrolink tweeted: “We're currently experiencing disruption on the Ashton, Bury and Rochdale lines.

“Ashton and Bury lines are completely suspended and Rochdale line is suspended between the city centre and Newton Heath.”
People will be able to use previously bought Metrolink tickets on bus services across the city.
Pictures appeared to show music fans heading to Parklife being let off a tram near Victoria Station, which had been bound for Heaton Park, so they could board replacement buses instead.
The Heaton Park tram stop falls under the Bury tram line, so those looking to get to the Parklife festival site this afternoon will now be faced with a longer than expected travel time.
Metrolink added: "Due to the suspension of the Bury line, anyone heading to @Parklifefestshould use the Shuttle Bus service from Aytoun Street (near Piccadilly Station) to Heaton Park.
"Shuttle buses are on their way to collect event-goers already at Victoria station."
An earlier tweet, which has since been deleted, said the Bury to Victoria and Ashton to Piccadilly services had been suspended ‘due to damage to the overhead lines’.
The M.E.N has reached out to Metrolink for more information on how long the disruption is expected to last.
