An investigation has been launched after a man was found dead in Mossley. Police were initially called to Riverside, in the small Tameside town on Sunday morning (July 3) to a concern for the welfare of a man at a property.
The man, aged in his 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene. Enquiries are now ongoing to establish how the man died.
Officers are remaining at the scene throughout the rest of today (Sunday) as the investigation continues. Anyone with information is being urged to contact Greater Manchester Police.

Further details about the cause of death is not yet known. A spokesperson for the force said: "At around 10.30am this morning (3 July 2022), police were called to a report of a concern for the welfare of a man at a property on Riverside, Mossley.
"Officers attended and sadly a man in his 30s was pronounced dead at the scene. Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances surrounding the death and officers will remain at the scene for the remainder of the day."
