Frank Ocean PULLS OUT of Coachella after chaotic set and replaced by reunited Blink 182

Frank Ocean has confirmed he will not be performing at Coachella this weekend.

A representative for the singer told The Mirror: "Frank Ocean will not be performing at weekend 2 of Coachella.

"After suffering an injury to his leg on festival grounds in the week leading up to weekend 1, Frank Ocean was unable to perform the intended show but was still intent on performing, and in 72 hours, the show was reworked out of necessity.

"On doctor's advice, Frank Ocean is not able to perform weekend 2 due to two fractures and a sprain in his left leg."

Frank added: "It was chaotic. There is some beauty in chaos. It isn't what I intended to show but I did enjoy being out there and I'll see you soon."

The singer-songwriter was set to return to the stage on Sunday night, but he will instead be replaced by Blink-182, according to TMZ.

The popular 90s band performed together for the first time in 10 years at Coachella's first weekend and were praised by fans for their set.

Frank returned to the stage for the first time since 2017 last Sunday, but fans were left disappointed by the performance, which was delayed by an hour.

Taking to Twitter to share their thoughts on the show, one person wrote: "Frank Ocean in his flop era."

Another said: "He showed up an hour late, knowing he'd be kicked off early by the curfew had a DJ perform a set during the show to waste time."

According to reports, Frank's Coachella show was supposed to include a performance on an ice rink which had been "constructed and ready to go".

Taking to Twitter, festival news source Festive Owl said: "Frank decided at the last minute that he no longer wanted it at all."

They explained: "All of the people walking around him at the start of the performance were actually ice skaters, had been practicing for weeks, and were supposed to be skating as part of the production.

"Coachella had to deconstruct the approved stage (that had been planned and signed off on for months in advance) + melt the entire ice rink."

Those who had been hoping to watch Frank's show from home were also left furious after his performance was pulled from the festival's livestream at the last minute.

According to Festive Owl, it was the musician who decided to cancel the filming.

They added: "Don't expect to see any coverage from the festival about the set. Something that is unprecedented in the history of Coachella.

"The relationship is not in a good place right now."

However, a source told The Mirror: "Coachella organisers loved the show. The set list had twenty songs including completely reworked versions of his songs."

"The sat ran for fifteen minutes longer than his planned set time," they explained.
