There are only four games to go on the Seattle Seahawks’ 2023 schedule, starting with Monday night’s prime time matchup with the Philadelphia Eagles.
Let’s break each of them down and pick a winner.
Week 15 vs. Philadelphia Eagles (10-3)
When this brutal four-game swing for Seattle began, the Eagles looked much tougher than they do now. Philly is still guaranteed to get a playoff spot and will be a team nobody wants to face. However, they’re not playing their best right now. While they’ve beaten some tough teams along the way, they’ve also lost two in a row and haven’t had a convincing win since Week 7 over the Dolphins. With both Jalen Hurts and the Eagles defense currently trending down, we have to pick the more-desperate home team.
Prediction: Seahawks win (7-7)
Week 16 at Tennessee Titans (5-8)
Upsetting the Eagles would put the Seahawks back at .500 as they hit their stretch run against three far-less formidable teams than the ones they’ve been playing lately. It begins on the road Christmas Eve game against the Titans, who are riding high after a big upset over Miami on Monday night. As much as Will Levis inspires hope for the future in Tennessee, Seattle is still the superior team and should take care of business here.
Prediction: Seahawks win (8-7)
Week 17 vs. Pittsburgh Steelers (7-6)
It’s tempting to pick the Seahawks to run the table the rest of the year, but given what we know about this team it’s probably an unrealistic hope. One way or another, Seattle will find a way to blow one of these last four games via some combination of dumb penalties, uninspired playcalling, conservativism on fourth down, blown coverages and most of all missed tackles. The Steelers and their ferocious defensive line coming to town looks like the perfect foil opportunity.
Prediction: Seahawks lose (8-8)
Week 18 at Arizona Cardinals (3-10)
The regular season ends on the road against the division rival Cardinals in the worst stadium in the world. As unlucky as they’ve been historically at this stadium, the Seahawks are a much better team than Arizona is this year, and it would be embarrassing to blow this one to finish the year.
Prediction: Seahawks win (9-8)
