Chelsea have completed the signing of Noni Madueke from PSV Eindhoven on a seven and a half year deal which is thought to cost around £35million. There is also an option to extend the deal for an extra year. The 20-year-old winger has become the Blues' sixth signing of the January transfer window.
Madueke, who left Tottenham in 2018 to sign for PSV, follows the arrivals of David Datro Fofana, Benoit Badiashile, Andrey Santos, Joao Felix and Mykhailo Mudryk this month as Graham Potter looks to further implement his ideas in west London. The England youth international has featured nine times for the Dutch side this season, directly contributing towards two goals.
Despite an injury-ridden campaign thus far, his impressive displays had courted the attention of Europe's biggest clubs. But, Chelsea won the race; football.london understands that new technical director Christopher Vivell was a driving force behind signing Madueke, having previously tried to do so at RB Leipzig.
