Chelsea have completed the signing of Cesare Casadei from Inter Milan. The Blues have landed the midfielder for a fee believed to be in the region of £12.6million with another £4.2million available in add-ons.
The 19-year-old, who is yet to make his senior debut for the Nerazzurri, joins on a six-year deal and follows a succession of teenage singings made by Chelsea. The club have already secured the services of Carney Chukwuemeka for £20million and Gabriel Slonina, who has returned on loan to Chicago Fire, for £12million this summer.
Casadei featured in Italy's Primavera 1 division 30 times for Inter and netted 14 goals and 4 assists last season and added three more contributions in the UEFA Youth League. The signing sees Chelsea's summer spending approach £200million following transfers for Kalidou Koulibaly, Raheem Sterling, Marc Cucurella.
