Brazilian Real Strength Pushes Sugar Prices Higher

Brazil India NY ISO London Thailand the Indian Sugar and Bioenergy Manufacturers Association Unica USDA

March NY world sugar #11 (SBH25) today is up +0.20 (+1.03%), and March London ICE white sugar #5 (SWH25) is up +4.20 (+0.83%).

Sugar prices today are moderately higher after the Brazilian real (^USDBRL) rallied to a 2-week high against the dollar, sparking short covering in sugar futures.  The stronger real discourages export selling from Brazil's sugar producers.
