Newcastle United midfielder Bruno Guimaraes was given a rating of 6.5 from Brazilian press for his display against South Korea in their recent friendly. The Selecao ran out 5-1 winners earlier this week, with the Magpies midfielder grabbing another assist to continue his rich vein of form.
In his last four matches for his country, Guimaraes has notched an assist in each game and scored his first goal for Brazil in a 4-0 win over Bolivia earlier this year. The Magpies midfielder had been expected to start the friendly in South Korea, but Real Madrid's Casemiro started instead, despite linking up with Tite's squad late due to playing in the Champions League final.
Globo.com wrote: "Bruno Guimarães: he expected to be a starter, but ended up being removed from the team at the last minute, for Casemiro's entry. He had little time to show his football, but he made a beautiful shot that resulted in Gabriel Jesus' goal. Note: 6.5"

Friend and former team-mat Lucas Paqueta was also involved during the week. Speculation linking him with a move to Newcastle has only intensified in recent weeks, after paying Guimaraes a visit on Tyneside last month.
The Magpies are yet to make a bid for the Lyon playmaker, but if reports are correct, then they'll be keeping a close eye on proceedings. The news outlet also awarded Paqueta a rating of 6.5, despite playing 81 minutes before being replaced by Guimaraes.
The report added: "Lucas Paquetá: in addition to confusing the markers with his movement, he was important in the pressure on the Asian defenders. He had some blocked shots and wasted a great chance after Neymar's precise pass in the second half. Note: 6.5"
