NEW DELHI: Brazilian football icon Ronaldinho touched down in Kolkata for a two-day visit on Sunday. As he emerged from the airport terminal, an exuberant crowd of fans who had gathered outside the airport gave him a warm welcome, with many eagerly anticipating his arrival.
During his stay, the legendary footballer is scheduled to take part in various events and will also inaugurate a Durga Puja pandal. There are also expectations of a meeting with Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.
This marks Ronaldinho's first visit to the soccer-loving city of Kolkata, which has hosted numerous football legends in the past, including Pele, Diego Maradona, and Lionel Messi.
