Brazil head coach Tite has given Manchester United a glowing review of Antony after comparing the forward to Neymar and Vinicius Jr.
Antony is being targeted by United this summer as they look to bolster their options in attack. The Brazilian is seen by Erik ten Hag as an ideal solution to his side's problematic right-hand side, with United hoping he can ease the burden on Cristiano Ronaldo.
Ten Hag of course managed Antony during their time together at Ajax, with the 22-year-old establishing himself as one of the stars of the Dutchman’s side. The Brazil international weighed in with 12 goals and 10 assists as Ajax picked up yet another Eredivisie title last season.

That form has led to Antony being linked with a move away from the Netherlands this summer, with a number of top clubs being linked throughout Europe. United though are hoping to win the race for his signature, with recent reports suggesting a deal could be close.
And should they land the forward this summer, they could be getting a player on par with two of the world’s most exciting talents. Antony shared a clip to his Instagram story of Brazil coach Tite comparing him to some of his international team-mates.
Asked whether Neymar is a technical leader for Brazil, Tite replied: "Yes absolutely! Especially now, to share the professionalism with a series of athletes with his characteristic. Antony has that characteristic, Raphinha too, Vinicius, Rodrygo does, too."
The comparison will certainly come as a boost to United and the club’s supporters as they look to secure their first signing of the summer. Ten Hag has a number of areas to address as pre-season looms, and he’ll be hoping Antony can provide a solution to one of those problem positions before the new campaign gets underway.
