A bold thief has been captured on CCTV stealing from a small business in Glasgow. Mr Ali, who owns Mobile Planet, on Saracen Street in Possilpark was appalled to find out that a brand new Samsung Galaxy Note, worth £650 was nicked by a customer while he was assisting them.
The woman entered the shop around 2pm on Friday, February 3, and engaged the shopkeeper in conversation about possibly buying a phone for a "wee girl", according to GlasgowLive.
She is spotted on camera asking Mr Ali to look on a shelf behind the till which requires him to turn his back on her. While he is looking for the item, the culprit can be seen reaching over into a display cabinet and snatching the phone before quickly packing it into her bag.
