A proud dad has spoken about his young daughter's efforts to raise charitable funds by cutting off her hair.
Hannah, aged 7, will have her hair cut off in a local salon this Wednesday. The schoolgirl became determined to undergo the transformation after hearing of the Little Princess Trust, who provide real wigs, free of charge, to children who have lost their hair through illness.
Adam Burke, organiser of Bray Comedy Festival and Bingo Loco host, was initially hesitant about his daughter's plans due to her young age. However, her desire to help out other children remained strong, which prompted Hannah's parents to set up the Laura Lynn fundraiser.

Adam told Dublin Live: "She's doubly excited now because there's an end goal in sight. A few of her schoolfriends have kindly sponsored her, as have her teachers- everyone is very proud of her."
The fundraiser has well surpassed its initial €500 target, which resulted in Adam setting a new goal of €2000. Although Hannah will be cutting her hair in just a few days time, the fundraiser will remain open for another few weeks in support of Laura Lynn.
Adam says encouragement has been immense, with locals in Bray stopping the family on the street to praise Hannah. Despite her young age, she has no fears about the radical change and is ready to embrace having a short hairstyle.
Her dad explains: " It remains to be seen whether it inspires more kids to take the same path. It's a very brave thing to do, especially for young girls, so there's no expectations that it will have a knock-on effect on kids her age."
The young girl has already received her fundraiser pack in the run up to the big day, complete with stickers and her Laura Lynn T-shirt. Her hair will most likely go towards either Little Princess Trust or the Rapunzel Foundation, depending on the length of her locks.
The Little Princess Trust welcomes donations on its website but states it is in most need of hair donations over 16 inches in length. The charity accepts clean, dry hair from any gender or ethnicity, but donors must have hair measuring a minimum of 12 inches before going under the scissors.
Hannah's fundraiser has raised €1,728 to date. Donations can be made through her Locks of Love fundraising page.
