Brandon Williams has revealed he will not be able to go and watch Manchester United teammate James Garner feature for Nottingham Forest in Sunday’s Championship play-off final.
The pair, both 21, have struck up a close bond since coming through the youth ranks at the club. Despite enjoying frequent game time during the 2019/20 season, United are set to listen to offers for Williams after a loan spell at Norwich this term.
Meanwhile, Garner has flourished on loan at Forest under Steve Cooper and has helped them to the play-off final after missing out on automatic promotion. He is expected to be named in the line-up that will face Huddersfield for a place in the Premier League, with many tipping him to be knocking on the door of the first team when he returns to United.

On Saturday morning, Williams posted a message on his Instagram story, outlining that he was unable to make the trip to Wembley to cheer on his mate. He wrote: “Sunday, my bro plays the biggest game of his life.
“Gutted couldn’t make it but he’s going to make the impossible possible, simple. Love you brother all the best.”
Also posted on his story is an image of him in the mirror with a geotag of ‘Cannes Film Festival 2022’. The lavish event concludes today (Saturday), 12 days after it had begun.
