Williams issues statement amid investigation claims
United defender Brandon Williams has issued a statement following claims he was under an investigation by Norwich City over a couple of his Instagram posts. The 21-year-old caused a stir on Sunday when he posted a picture of his middle finger raised with the caption: “What a beautiful day easy up Norwich City FC.”
He followed that up with another post of his dog with the caption: “For the people that followed me, he’s always awake.” Reports on Monday suggested Williams was under investigation by Norwich for the posts, which he has since deleted.
Williams though released a statement denying any such investigation, and claimed he had been followed home by supporters following the Canaries’ 4-0 defeat to West Ham. “This conduct by a small number of fans is unacceptable. The vast majority of fans have been overwhelmingly supportive during Brandon’s loan time at Norwich,” Williams’ representatives said.
Adeyemi agent confirms United interest
Ahead of what is set to be a busy summer for United and incoming manager Erik ten Hag, there has been no shortage of names linked with the club. Fans are at the stage now where they want the season to be over so they can begin to see some business being done.
One name we can certainly rule out now is Karim Adeyemi. The RB Salzburg star had been linked with a move to Old Trafford, as well as some of their Premier League rivals, after enjoying a brilliant season with 23 goals and eight assists in 42 appearances.
The Germany international’s agent has confirmed that United have shown an interest. Unfortunately for the Reds, it won’t count for much, with Adeyemi seemingly on his way to Borussia Dortmund.
