Now, on to Trent Williams for John Lynch and Kyle Shanahan.
The drama of the Brandon Aiyuk contract squabble came to a peaceful end for the San Francisco 49ers and their star receiver on Thursday.
He agreed to a four-year, $120 million deal.
Finally!! 🚨 🚨 🚨
The #49ers are not trading star WR Brandon Aiyuk — he’s staying in SF with a massive extension, per me and @MikeGarafolo.
Aiyuk is getting a front-loaded 4-year deal worth $120M — done by @RyanWilliamsA1 of @AthletesFirst. And yes, Aiyuk will now practice. pic.twitter.com/2LreDyUDoH

The extension did not come in time for Aiyuk to practice on Thursday. However, he should have plenty of time to get ready for the 49ers’ opener with Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets.
The buzz about a trade to Washington, Cleveland, or Pittsburgh is doused. Aiyuk is staying in the Bay Area.
Tbe great offensive tackle Williams is in a contract situation with the 49ers and he isn’t practicing. Holdout, Hold-in. Whatever, the Niners need to get him settled, too.
