A brand-new festival combining the best of Oktoberfest with a Gaelic twist is coming to the RDS.
This September, Ireland will witness the birth of the brand-new ‘Oktoberfeis’ which infuses the German Oktoberfest with Irish music, food, and culture. The festival will take place with 10 events happening across Ireland with the Dublin event being in the RDS Simmonscourt on Friiday, October 6.
Attendees can expect Irish trad bands, DJs and dancers, authentic Irish food stalls, roving performers, and an eclectic mix of entertainment and competitions across the evening. Some of the country's most popular musicians will be performing across each of the dates, including Whistlin' Donkeys, George Murphy and The Rising Sons, Rake the Ashes and many more.
Founder Craig Reynolds said: "This new festival idea was inspired by the legendary Munich Oktoberfest. We will capture what is most loved about the iconic German festival while adding an authentic Irish twist throughout.
