SAN JOSE, Calif. — The inaugural Mill Valley Music Festival launches this May.
Ben Harper and the Innocent Criminals are set to headline the multi-musical genre event, which is presented by the Mill Valley Chamber of Commerce.
Other acts on the bill include Lettuce, Liz Cooper; Los Amigos Invisibles and La Doña.
The event will take place at Friends Field, which is located next to the Mill Valley Community Center near downtown Mill Valley. Organizers plan to turn the field into “a sprawling festival grove for a one-day, all-ages celebration of local arts and culture,” according to a news release.
Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Feb. 18, MillValleyMusicFest.com. General admission tickets start at $90, while VIP ducats run $180. Tickets are $25 for those under the age of 12 when accompanied by a parent/guardian.
“There’s no doubt that these past few years have been incredibly rough for all of us,” says Jim Welte, director of the Mill Valley Chamber. “We can’t wait to celebrate the resilience of Mill Valley, Marin County, and the entire Bay Area, and the vital role the Bay plays in the vibrancy of the Golden State — all set to an amazing, day-long soundtrack of fantastic music and an abundance of incredible food, drink and art while spending an afternoon with your best friends and ones you’ve yet to meet.”
