Bradley Walsh in tears filming 'emotional' show with son Barney

The aptly named 'breaking Dad' TV show may just have achieved its title aim if clips of stars of the show - Bradley Walsh and his son Barney - are anything to go by. The Chase host is shown overcome with emotion and in tears during filming.

In the latest episode of Bradley Walsh & Son: Breaking Dad, the family duo travelled through Costa Rica. However, as the camera focused on Bradley during the road trip, he suddenly became emotional, telling Barney: “It’s more about the memories. The memories you make doing these things, doing them with you. We are so blessed to be able to go around the world and do this.”

Fighting back tears, he added: “I’m not upset, I find it very emotional, very heartwarming – I really do.” Earlier he was reported to have praised his son for having 'no fear'.

The Larkins star, 62, has been traveling the world with his 25-year-old son Barney in the ITV series. The Mirror reported that, speaking on The Jonathan Ross Show previously, Bradley had said: "Barney is the man now... that I always wanted to be. And that's absolutely true. He's got no fear, he's young, he's finding his first feet in business and stuff. I just always wanted to do that. Anything Barney wants to do on [Bradley & Barney Walsh; Breaking Dad], I'll give it a go."

The series continues to the next challenge next week when the Walshes have a go at climbing 130 ft trees. They'll also enjoy a respite at a dog sanctuary, which is home to 2,000 pooches. Adventures continue when they meet a former kayak slalom Olympian and go head-to-head in a time-trial.
