Bradley Walsh given BBC career boost as ITV show 'may be cancelled'

Bradley Walsh has been given a career boost from the BBC, amid reports a programme he stars in on ITV "may be cancelled".

The TV personality, 62, stars in The Larkins on ITV. Reports have suggested the show will not be returning for a third series. While the broadcaster is yet to confirm or deny the rumours, Bradley responded to the claims last month.

Appearing on This Morning, Bradley, who is known for hosting The Chase, told Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield the viewing figures for series two were "fantastic".

He went on to say: "It’s a 14-week shoot and I haven’t got time to do that this year. I actually don’t have 14 weeks, so it’s down to me, not anything else, that we may not be able [to do it]".

Amid the rumours, Bradley has had a BBC show renewed, Birmingham Live reports. He's getting another series of Blankety Blank.

The Beeb is now looking for new contestants for the show, and said: "We're searching for fun, confident, outgoing and entertaining people who think that they can fill in the blank word of a sentence and win big!

"There is no need for physical skills or a super brain and you will be helped along the way by a panel of famous faces who will attempt to match your answers! If you think you have what it takes then apply now and you could be walking away with some fantastic prizes and the coveted Blankety Blank cheque book and pen!"
