Taxi horror in Bradford: Two men jailed for shooting and stabbing 18-year-old passenger

Two men have been sentenced to lengthy prison terms for the attempted murder of an 18-year-old who was shot and repeatedly stabbed while sitting in a taxi in Bradford.

Harris Mohammed, 24, and Riccardo Nadim, 20, carried out the attack in March 2025 on Dovedale Road. Prosecutors told the court that the pair approached the parked taxi in what they described as a “pincer movement.”

Mohammed shot the victim twice in the face while Nadim stabbed him from the opposite side of the vehicle. Both were found guilty of attempted murder following a trial. Mohammed was sentenced to 30 years in prison, while Nadim received 28 years.

West Yorkshire Police said the victim was hospitalised with injuries to his face, right arm, and back. The force added that the man chose not to assist with the investigation but has since made a full recovery.

Det Insp Suzanne Hall said: “This was a shocking incident that left a man seriously injured in the middle of the street, and it understandably caused fear and concern within the community. Today’s sentences send a clear message that those who choose to carry or use firearms and weapons will be pursued and brought before the courts.”

In addition to attempted murder, Mohammed, of Carbottom Road, Bradford, and Nadim, of Tarnside Drive, Leeds, were found guilty of conspiracy to possess a firearm with intent to endanger life.

A third man, 20-year-old Davian Lewis, of Paley Road, Bradford, was sentenced to two years and six months for assisting an offender.
