Brad Lyons insists he now knows the levels needed to perform in the Scottish Premiership and says he will be ready to deliver next season.
The former Coleraine midfielder has signed a new two-year contract with the Rugby Park club. It will keep him tied to Derek McInnes' side until 2025.
Lyons - who joined Kilmarnock in July 2021 after being released by Blackburn Rovers - made 15 league appearances last season, scoring in a final day survival shootout against Ross County.

The 26-year-old says it was an easy decision to extend his stay.
He told Kilmarnock's website: "It was a really easy contract, especially with how the end of last season went.
“I love the club and community, so it was easy for me to re-sign. Towards the end of the season, I think that I showed my true worth.
"The last couple of games I showed my true self in terms of my football. So I am very happy the club offered me new terms.
"The manager’s message to me is to try and be more consistent with playing levels. And I set my own individual targets.
"It was frustrating start to the season. I wasn't playing as much as I would have liked. The gaffer's message was try to be more consistent with my playing levels.
"I have shown what I am with and that is the level I have to show every week."
Lyons will be returning to Northern Ireland this summer with Kilmarnock, with the club set to play Linfield and Glentoran in two pre-season friendlies.
He added: "It feels like I just signed again because that's where I had my first pre-season, so I have good memories of that. Obviously playing against two teams I know really well.
"It will be a good test as they will be preparing for Europe, so it will be good."
