HYDERABAD: With bleak air sweeping the northern parts of the state, weatherman predict that temperatures are likely to plummet dramatically across Hyderabad and Telangana. Many places are recording a minimum temperature of 15 degree Celsius and below for over a week.
Predictions from the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) state that the temperatures might even drop below 10 degree Celsius as well in parts of Telangana.
The ripple effect can already be felt over last three days in Hyderabad, which saw an average 19 degree Celsius on Saturday and 18 degrees Celsius in the early hours of Sunday, according to the IMD.
The city has an average lowest temperature of 20 degrees Celsius in November, according to the Telangana State Development Plann ing Society (TSDPS). But, the mercury is likely to dip belowthe average level. The data from TSDPS shows that areas like RC Puram in GHMC limits r ecorded a s low a s 15 degree Celsius on Sunday.
Accrding to TSDPS, the temperatures will go below 15 degree Celsius by Wednesday in parts of city, particularly Goshamahal, Mehdipatnam, Charminar, Begumpet and Karwan. Areas like Musheerabad, Quthbullapur and Alwal may n ot see any significant temperature drop over the next week.
