One woman was left speechless when her boyfriend of eight years popped the big question on her graduation day.
Aoife Bowerman, 22, and Brad McDonald, 23, both graduated from Edge Hill last week but spent the weekend celebrating not just their academic achievements. Aoife, currently a waitress from Limavady, Northern Ireland, who was graduating from her PGCE in Primary Early Years Education was blissfully unaware of her boyfriend's intentions as they strolled through the campus ahead of the ceremony.
Out of the blue, Brad dropped to one knee and pulled a ring out of his pocket. When asked if she would marry him, she said yes. The couple have been an item since high school, first getting together in 2014.
