Boy George responds to Lorraine Kelly's 'tantrum' comments amid claims he's 'snubbed' TV appearances

Boy George is still pretty fresh from the jungle but he's wasted no time in responding to the comments made about him while taking part in I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here. The Culture Club star became the fourth campmate to be eliminated from the ITV reality show during Monday night's instalment of camp action.

He followed Loose Women's Charlene White, A Place In The Sun host Scarlette Douglas, and Coronation Street star Sue Cleaver. And the group have since been joined by comedian Babatunde Aleshe who became the fifth to leave the jungle during Wednesday night's show after getting the fewest number of public votes.

After leaving the jungle and getting back to the swanky JW Marriott Resort & Spa on the Gold Coast, reportedly to a rapturous round of applause before former jungle mate Scarlette lead a sing-song, Boy George also got his phone back and was soon offering and update on his exit.

Sharing a picture of himself on Twitter on Tuesday, the 80s icon wrote: "Eating pizza and watching #FIFAWorldCup replay after a lovely long shower. Thanks for all the amazing messages. The love always transcends the negativity.” The singer also said he had “laughed heartily” after reading news stories about his time on the reality show.

He added: "This b***h still gives great headline. I have seen them all and laughed heartily! #ImACelebrityGetMeOutOfHere." And since getting his phone back and getting back onto social media, it appears Boy George was alerted to a video posted by Lorraine Kelly's ITV show which featured her commenting on George's reported 'tantrums'.

In the video, which was shared to Twitter on Monday, Lorraine said to an ITV entertainment correspondent on her show: "Boy George, now what's going on there? He keeps saying, 'I speak my mind, I speak my mind' but he's always sort of doing hushed asides. But he did have a wee bit of a tantrum... not a tantrum, it was just a... I don't know what you would call it."

The Scottish TV presenter then referenced the rumour that Boy George had a bit of a strop after not being allowed to travel back to camp in a golf buggy from the trial clearing area. Commenting on the rumour, Lorraine said: "Does he even watch this show? You don't get golf buggies George! For goodness sake, the cameras are everywhere. There is absolutely no hiding place."

She then added: "I think the thing with George is not that many people tell him no. I'm very fond of him but there's that as well!" But responding the clip, George typed in a reply: "Yes my darling Lorraine I bet you walk everywhere and do your own make-up? Lol!"

The Karma Chameleon hitmaker has also defended himself against suggestions he wanted to leave the jungle early. He tweeted: "Zero truth to the rumour that I wanted to leave the jungle early. I had an open mind about it. Most campmates said they wanted to leave at some point.

"I did my trials and I smiled through it. Sitting around for hours was hard for everyone. I got loads out of it on a deep level." It comes as it is claimed that George has 'snubbed' his opportunity to appear TV for his first interview since his I'm A Celeb eviction. While Charlene appeared back on Loose Women, other campmates who have exited the camp have appeared on Good Morning Britain the morning after their exit was screened.

There was also suggestions that he wanted to leave Australia before the final on Sunday (November 27) but his team has denied the reports to The Mirror, saying the singer is enjoying a few days in the hotel after the jungle.
