Boy George has pulled out of his upcoming appearance in the West End revival of Jesus Christ Superstar amid significant backlash to his recent song defending Israel’s military action in Palestine.

Earlier this week, the Culture Club singer released a song titled “We Will Dance Again”, which feature lyrics voicing support for Israel’s response to the October 7 attacks, and denying that a genocide is happening in Gaza.
