An eight-year-old boy was diagnosed with a brain tumour after doctors dismissed his symptoms as tummy bug - and robbed of his voice forever by operation to remove it. Isaiah Jarrett, eight, died just eight months after being diagnosed with medulloblastoma, a type of brain tumour, following bouts of extreme vomiting.
Doctors initially thought Isaiah's illness could've been gastroenteritis, it is claimed. Later he began to vomit blood, suffered with a stiff neck and had headaches which were put down to long episodes of sickness.
After five weeks of no improvement, Isaiah's concerned mum, Dena Allen, 36, demanded answers, a charity said. Isaiah underwent a CT scan at Birmingham Children's Hospital where it was revealed he had a golf ball sized mass on his brain.
