Boy, 16, stabbed in Glasgow street rushed to hospital

A 16-year-old boy has been stabbed in Glasgow in a serious assault.

The attack occurred on Dalmarnock Road, close to Muslin Street in Bridgeton, between 9pm and 10pm on Sunday, March 27.

The victim was rushed to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment. Medical staff have described his condition as serious but stable.

Police Scotland detectives are now appealing for anyone with further information to assist their enquiries to get in touch with them.

Detective Constable Sarah Steven from Shettleston CID said: "Enquiries are at an early stage to establish exactly what happened and I am appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the assault, or noticed anything suspicious, to contact us.

“Anyone with information should contact Police Scotland via telephone number 101, quoting incident number 3650 of 27th March 2022.

"Alternatively, calls can be made anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
