A 15-year-old boy was repeatedly stabbed in broad daylight outside a school in a horror attack.
Officers scrambled to terrifying reports of the attack near The Phoenix Collegiate, in West Bromwich, around 2.30pm today.
The teen's injuries were not thought to be life-threatening police confirmed, but the attacker remains at large with no arrests made.
He was stabbed in the abdomen and the leg outside the school before being rushed to hospital.
Locals reported seeing a heavy police presence with paramedics and a helicopter outside the school after the shocking incident.
A spokeswoman for West Midlands Police said: "We are investigating after a boy was stabbed in West Bromwich. Officers were called to Clarkes Lane shortly after 2.30pm today.
"A 15-year-old boy was taken to hospital after being stabbed in the abdomen and leg. His injuries are not considered life-changing or life-threatening."
