A teenage boy died three weeks after having a Pfizer Covid vaccine jab, an inquest has heard. Jospeh McGinty, 14, was vaccinated on August 20 last year and died on September 13 at home.
Co Mayo Coroner Pat O’Connor said there will be a 'considerable investigation’ into the death, including asking Pfizer for safety reports.
After having the vaccine, Joseph was hospitalised on September 1, was sent home and then went back to hospital on September 8, reports the Irish Mirror.
The coroner said there appears to have been either a reaction to the vaccine or a significant change in his health.
Mr O'Connor said the investigation could take months or years. The case will next be discussed on December 20.
